Hispanovema

Decontamination agents

Hispanovema formulates its own agents for use with its units and stations: one for people, four for vehicles, materials and terrain, and one spray for electronics and sensitive equipment. They are chosen by type of threat (biological, chemical or radiological), by what has to be decontaminated and by the form the unit accepts. We tell you which agent and packaging suit your operation.

Frequently asked questions

About Decontamination agents

Which agent suits each case?

For people, LD11. For vehicles, materials and terrain, RD30 in liquid form or RD20 if powder is preferred, and RD40 if the threat is radiological. For electronics and sensitive equipment that cannot take water, RD50 spray. The form has to be compatible with the application unit: we confirm this with the data sheet.

Do you send safety data sheets and regulatory documentation?

Yes: the safety data sheet for each agent is sent with the technical data sheet. The regulatory status in the destination country, for example as a biocide in the European Union, is checked with the manufacturer before the quotation.

How are they stored?

According to the manufacturer, the agents are developed to STANAG 4653 and their storage follows STANAG 4370 (AECTP 200). The stated shelf life, five years or twelve for RD20, applies under proper storage conditions; each agent’s data sheet gives temperatures and conditions.

Material subject to authorisationOperations involving defence material are subject to the applicable authorisations. We only handle requests from public bodies and authorised companies.
