Eggshell membrane is a natural layer rich in type I collagen, elastin, keratin and hyaluronic acid, and it also provides glucosamine and chondroitin. It is used as a raw material in nutraceutical, cosmetic and animal nutrition formulations. It is a 100% natural and sustainable ingredient.

Egglin is versatile and used in three main sectors: Nutraceuticals (supplements for joint health and mobility), Cosmetics (anti-aging creams, hydration serums, and hair products), and Animal Nutrition (premium pet supplements focused on joint health).

Egglin is produced through a 5-step biotechnological process: (1) traceable collection of eggshells from certified food-industry partners; (2) mechanical separation of shell and membrane; (3) cleaning and sterilization in line with food safety standards, with no harsh chemicals; (4) micronization to a homogeneous particle size; and (5) functional raw materials ready for use.

Egglin has ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000 (food safety), Halal and Kosher certifications, and complies with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations. We guarantee complete traceability and compliance with European standards.

Egglin has a shelf life of 5 years from the manufacturing date, kept unopened in a cool, dry place. It is supplied in 5 kg bags, boxed together depending on order size, and packaging can be adapted to client requirements.

Yes, Egglin is used in animal nutrition, especially in premium pet supplements and high-end feed. It contributes collagen, glucosamine and chondroitin to the formulation. It is a natural ingredient, with no artificial additives.

Egglin markets three raw materials obtained from eggshell and membrane: (1) Natural Calcium — high-purity calcium carbonate for supplements, food and agriculture; (2) Eggshell Membrane — source of collagen, elastin, glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid for nutraceuticals and cosmetics; (3) Eggshell Powder — natural calcium ready to consume with 940 mg per 2.5 g.

Egglin reintegrates food-industry by-products —eggshells and membranes that would otherwise be wasted— back into the economy. Through advanced processing technologies they become measurable, traceable functional raw materials, contributing to a zero-waste model and the conservation of natural resources.

Eggshell membrane is supplied as a 200–250 µm powder, with the same chemical composition across batches: protein min. 80 %, collagen (types I, V and X) min. 10 %, elastin min. 15 %, glycosaminoglycans min. 4 % and hyaluronic acid min. 2 %. Eggshell membrane products are classified under HS heading 2106.10.00, covering protein-based food preparations. This is the code shown on the export documentation from the Bandırma plant.

It is an egg product and is declared as such. It contains no dairy, starch, sugar, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, fish, shellfish, salt or tree nuts, and no artificial colours, preservatives or sweeteners. It is suitable for vegetarians. The raw material is not genetically modified or ionised and is free of BSE/TSE risk, in line with Regulations EC 1829/2003 and 1830/2003.
